Planning for the 2023 Washington Youth Tour is underway, and [CO-OP NAME] is proud to sponsor this incredible opportunity once again this year.

The Washington Youth Tour gives lucky winners the chance to experience an all-expense paid trip to our nation’s capital to learn about government, history and public policy. Winning delegates also have the chance to earn scholarships and win additional tips and prizes.

[CO-OP NAME] uses the Electric Cooperative Creative Writing Contest to select winners for the Washington Youth Tour. The contest fits within state grade-level academic standards, and all resources necessary to complete the creative writing project are provided by [CO-OP NAME].

The theme of this year’s creative writing contest is “Co-ops Connect You with Opportunity.” Students will be encouraged to write a short story explaining how co-ops connect Tennessee communities with energy, broadband, economic development and more. A copy of this year’s resource guide is included for your review.

The 2023 Washington Youth Tour will be held on June 16-22.
