Paul Wesslund is a freelance writer with special experience on energy, rural economy, cooperative business, and lifestyle topics. In July 2015 he retired after 20 years as editor of Kentucky Living magazine, the consumer publication of Kentucky’s electric cooperatives, published by the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives. During that time he also served as vice president for communications.

From 1979-1995 he worked at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in the Washington-D.C. area at a number of writing and management positions in the Communications Department. From 1975-1979 he was a reporter and copy editor for The Minot Daily News and then the Fargo Forum daily newspapers in North Dakota.
