A fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity
Students learn what electricity is and how it works. They will work with electrical specialists from across the state in learning centers. Each learning center consists of hands-on activities so that participants can learn by doing. They will also have the chance to meet other 4-H’ers from across Tennessee and explore careers in energy, electricity and basic sciences. Each camper will receive a certificate, a T-shirt and items they have made at camp.
Who may attend?
4-H Electric Camp is for any 4-H member enrolled in the 6th or 7th grades as of January 1 of the current calendar year who have not previously attended the camp. Registration information is available from the local county UT Extension office.
What is the cost?
The cost to attend 4-H Electric Camp is $325. This fee includes housing, meals, admission to Dollywood and recreational activities.
Program staff
The professionals who conduct the program are experienced specialists in the fields of electricity and energy, including many electric cooperative employees. They volunteer their time because of their expertise and love of working with young people.
