Ryan King appointed Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture

After a successful tenure as TECA’s vice president of government affairs, Ryan King will be leaving the association in November to join Gov. Lee’s administration as Deputy Commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.

During his time at TECA, Ryan has made a lasting impact on Tennessee’s electric cooperatives and the association team. He has been a trusted advocate for co-op priorities, using his deep experience and strong relationships in the State Capitol to elevate our voice in state government. His leadership in establishing the Advocacy Council and the Biscuits and Bluegrass reception has strengthened TECA’s engagement with policymakers and positioned co-ops as an influential force in Tennessee’s energy and economic future.

Please join us in congratulating Ryan on this well-deserved appointment and in thanking him for his dedication, professionalism and friendship. We are confident that his service on the Governor’s leadership team will continue to benefit co-ops and the communities we serve.
